Here are some pictures of our project. Click on the picture for a larger view.
 
Our project: a San Francisco Cable Car Turntable prototype with a semi-automatic motor assist system. Everything below the table top, would be hidden underneath the street. Therefore, nothing would ever seem different to the many tourists who visit San Francisco's second largest attraction every year.  
 
A view of the mechanisms underneath the turntable. These include the support wheels, rotating shaft, motor, and encoder.  
 
The DSP board with the H-Bridge and our wiring setup.  
 
Here is the system wired up and ready to operate. The black box on the left is a high current DC regulated power supply set to 23 volts and outputs up to 3 amps when our system is at full power.  
 
Our project setup at the ME 102B open house. There are two bricks each weighing 26 pounds that our system is easily able to support.
